Cat Fish

 One year ago we brought 51 cat fishes in our school. We then kept it in a small container. As the container was so small and all the 51 fishes could not fit in that vessel we moved them to a bucket pool  that we had specially made for them 2 or 3 days before they were brought. One fish died on the first. Many of our fishes died. I was very sad when my friends told me about their deaths. After many days we brought 50 more cat fishes, this news made me happy. We transferred them from the bucket pool to the bath tub. We cleaned the bath tub, filled bath tub with water and poured the fish there. Susmita and Shaswat were in charge of the fish.  I wanted to take care of them too. When we used to stay overnight we always used to catch the cat fishes, put them in a bucket full of water, take the water out of the bathtub and change clean water inside it.

 This time we were taking good care than the last batch as we already gained some experience with the last batch. We used to give them flour mixed with water to eat. We put the bowl inside the water so we could  see if they ate or not. But I think they ate because some of the cat fishes were getting a little bigger. I don’t know how but this time we were not successful. Many cat fishes began to die. Soon, all the cat fishes inside the pond were dead. After some time of their death we got to know that they died because they did not have proper place to live in. It is very necessary for the fish to survive to get a proper environment. So we realised that there was no mud and plants for them, just clean water is not a factor for their survival. Our experiment of the cat fishes failed. But we are very curious to know more about the cat fish so we are going to get some cat fish. And next time we will keep them in a small muddy pond we made in front of the cage of ducks and chicken. Hope our experiment will work that time.
