I have helped grow pumpkins, chillies, cucumbers, tomatoes, bottle gourd, eggplant, squash, beans, spinach and more at Spiny Babbler and its schooling program. What we do comes under life skills and Finance and Economy where we learn how to become productive.

We keep the pumpkins in the back garden. They were really small at first. Now after a few days they are all climbing the walls and are fatter than ever. We have grown a lot of eggplants as well. Some of them are green, some are fat, some are purple and some are long. We have green chillies near the trampoline and squash near the strawberries. They went up till the roof of the store room. We have planted bottle gourds. They had become so much long it grew to the gate of our school and to another small tree but unfortunately it died. The bottle gourds we grew lasted the whole summer but we got very little of them. But the eggplant too grew for a long time. We got a lot of them more than the bottle gourds. We have also grown tomatoes which are still growing today.

We also have an avocado tree, it drops avocados a lot of times but has not dropped much avocados recently. We have also grown peas and they are falling on the ground faster than ever. Since last time all the squashes died we planted them again but we put them at the balcony near the strawberries. We also replanted the strawberries on the balcony since it was not growing on the ground properly.
